Assembly Technician

Full Time – UK Head Office

aae technologies is a globally respected, independent manufacturer of high value marine related electronic-acoustic products that include underwater positioning and tracking systems, and a market leading range of subsea geological survey equipment. Established for more than 30 years, our award-winning company has an international client base spread across many ocean related industry sectors, and is supported by a global distributor network with locations on every continent.

To further expand recent growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join our production team. The candidate will support our team of technicians and engineers in delivering the highest quality mechanical, electrical and electronic sub-assemblies that will become the core of our complex range of underwater products. All products are assembled to detailed CAD drawings for quality and consistency.

Primary Duties:

· Mechanical assembly to drawing

· Product finishing and labelling

· Cable assembly

· Box (Equipment) building

Secondary Duties:

· Parts kitting

· Soldering cable assemblies

· Assisting with in-house pressure testing

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be willing to learn. Engineering-based experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. You will work on mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and wiring, with the possibility of also working on electronic PCB assembly. Awareness of health and safety, technical drawings, and document change control beneficial.
